series

I made this collage to represent the unity of people and show that even though we are all different, have different points of views, are in different stages in our lives we are all the same. Also showing that these folks are in all different places shows that even if we are from another place that we cant treat each other any more different.

1) What have you learned this quarter about yourself in regards to taking pictures or about digital photography/photo shop in general?
-that it takes patience and that people have a lot of meaning behind there work.

2) How would you define "fine art photography"?
-Is photography that is a vision of an artist and it is exactly what the photographer wanted in a picture, not someone changing it to make it look "better".

3) What are your goals in the future in regards to photography?
-I would still like to use photo shop and maybe learn more and use those tutorials to better myself in photography.

4) After viewing many different images, is there a particular style, technique, artist, subject matter, etc. that you are drawn to or are inspired by?
-I'm pretty undecided in a specific way on making pictures or taking pictures, I'm really down to make anything that looks cool.

5) Tell how your interest in photography began.
-Well it started a few years ago and my aunt got me really into it and it seemed like a cool thing/hobbie to do.

color project

My first picture i use an abundance of blue to signify a sense of calmness. Aj is just eating some chinese food and kind of in his own little world it seems like. It also shows loneleness because he is all alone.

For my second picture it is a valentines day cake, and as we all know valentines day represents love and strong feelings also having it be cake its a "comfort" food. :)

And my last picture it is mostly all brown and i like how the tree is in it because brown represents nature and down to earth. i really like the color combanations in this one and it was probably the most successful out of the rest.

Andy Goldsworthy

Andy Goldsworthy's work really emulates how much he knows and likes about nature. In a lot of his work he likes to show all of the seasons in one picture. It is amazing how much patients he has especially in the film how the rocks or icicles fall apart but he still does it over and over until the sculpture is finished. Its also very interesting how his artwork is based around a flowing river or the movement of water.
