Knowing your Camera

Name of Camera: Cannon 20d
Megapixels: 8 Mega pixels
10 Things i learned about my camera:
1) ISO rating can go up to 3200 (H) meaning it can go really fast and can be used in low light
2) theres 95% field coverage
3)Correct Red eye
4) I can add alot of different Lenses
5) It wieghs 770 gm
6) It was released on Febuary 14, 2005 in Japan
7) The difference between the 20da camera and the 20d camera is the replacement of the infa-red filter
8) It allows finer quality pictures
9) It was discontinued in 2006 when the 30d came out
10) It is extremely difficult to focus in on dim objects

3 Questions i have about my camera are...:

1) How do i change the exposure?
2) Can I change the color of the picture using the camera or do I have to do that on the computer?
3) Can I take a visible not blurry picture in the dark without using the flash?

  1. 1) Some cameras allow you to change sutter speed--does yours? Look in your manual.
    2) Some cameras have those options (sepia, cyan, etc.). I recommend you do it in photoshop. Once you record your image in sepia tone, you cannot go back to color.
    3) You can adjust your camera's ISO to a high setting. Some cheaper cameras may create "noise" (bright colored pixels) when you push the ISO setting, but you won't know until you experiment. Because low light situations will cause your camera to slow down it's shutter speed, you may want a tripod or steady your camera on a flat surface.
